Climate anxiety is a term used to describe the difficult emotions people may experience in response to climate change and its impacts. For some, this can include worry, grief, helplessness, anger, or uncertainty about the future.
The BC Association of Clinical Counsellors is offering a public presentation on Climate Anxiety and Mental Health on June 23 from 7–8 PM (Mountain Time). The session will explore what climate anxiety is, where it can come from, and practical strategies for supporting ourselves and others who may be impacted by climate-related distress.
This may be a helpful resource for individuals, parents, caregivers, educators, and community members who are noticing how climate concerns are affecting emotional well-being.
Presenter: Matt Treble, Registered Clinical Counsellor
Hosted by: BC Association of Clinical Counsellors
