We are feeling the excitement from the Artemis II mission, and want to keep that feeling going. Together we compiled a list of three movies, shows, board games, video games, and space apps that hopefully continue the same vibe.
TV SHOWS

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. It is a mini-series about exploring the solar system, galaxy, and universe to the best of human knowledge.
The Expanse. This show is about how humans have began colonizing different parts of the solar system, and then have to navigate dealing with alien contact.
Star Trek: The Next Generation. The classic 90’s way of exploring the universe, and how humans and other life-forms work together to deal with challenges of space travel and contact with other civilizations.
MOVIES

Contact. The search for extra-terrestrial life – what would happen if they sent a message back to us?
Apollo 13. Retelling of the successful failure mission of Apollo 13.
Interstellar. Astronauts who travel through a wormhole in search of a new home for humanity.
VIDEO GAMES

Starfield. It is an open-world space RPG where you explore hundreds of planets, shape your character’s path, and uncover humanity’s place among the stars.
Mass Effect. As a human in an explored universe, you assemble allies to help explore and stop a hostile takeover of the universe.
Kerbal. A space simulation game where you design rockets, launch missions, and learn real orbital physics as you guide a crew of lovable little astronauts from first liftoff to Moon landings and beyond.
BOARD GAMES

MLEM: Space Agency. Yes, cats. Sending cats into space to explore different planets, and to eventually (and hopefully) arrive into deep-space. This game is a unique blend of cooperative and competitive.
Terraforming Mars. You are a corporation that is trying to make Mars inhabitable for humans.
Race for the Galaxy. Fast-paced strategy card game where you build competing space civilizations by exploring new worlds, developing technology, producing and trading resources, and cleverly predicting which actions other players will choose each round.
SPACE APPS

Star Walk 2. A live stargazing app that lets you point your phone at the night sky to instantly identify stars, planets, constellations, satellites, and other celestial objects in real time.
NASA App. An official space exploration app that gives you access to NASA missions, launch updates, stunning images and videos, and the latest news from space science and discovery.
Solar Walk 2. An interactive 3D space app that lets you explore the Solar System up close, from planets and moons to spacecraft and major astronomical events.
