Life can bring seasons of loss, change, uncertainty, and growth. Counselling with Chelsea offers a supportive space to slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and reconnect with yourself at a pace that feels right for you.
Chelsea May Be A Good Fit For
Chelsea may be a good fit for clients experiencing:
- Grief and loss, including the loss of a loved one, child, relationship, or major life role
- Depression, low mood, or feeling emotionally stuck
- Life transitions and major changes in identity, relationships, school, work, or family life
- Youth and young adults navigating the shift toward adulthood
- Questions around self-worth, identity, emotional expression, and personal direction
Chelsea also enjoys supporting clients who may find it difficult to name or express what they are feeling. Her style can be especially helpful for people who want a counsellor who is patient, curious, and willing to meet them where they are.
What Counselling Is Like With Chelsea
Counselling with Chelsea begins with getting to know you and understanding your world. She takes time to learn what has brought you to counselling, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope might begin to feel different.
Chelsea aims to create a non-judgemental, low-pressure space where clients can show up as they are. Sessions move at a pace that fits the client, with room to explore emotions, thoughts, relationships, life experiences, and patterns that may be affecting how someone sees themselves or moves through the world.
Her approach is warm, caring, curious, and empathetic. Chelsea’s goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they begin to understand themselves more clearly.
Chelsea’s Approach to Counselling
Chelsea’s approach is client-centred, relational, and grounded in trust. She values authenticity, empathy, and creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to explore honestly.
Her work may include mindfulness, psychoeducation, self-discovery, emotional exploration, cognitive reframing, affirmations, and helping clients notice patterns or “blind spots” that may be shaping their experiences. Chelsea often supports clients in comparing and contrasting different thoughts, feelings, or experiences so they can discover what feels true and meaningful for them.
Chelsea is also interested in how people connect with themselves, others, and the world around them. Her training in yoga, Geek Therapy, Gottman work, and Equine Facilitated Wellness reflects her interest in healing that is relational, experiential, and grounded in the whole person.
Personal
Outside of counselling, Chelsea teaches yoga, rides horses, practices jiu-jitsu, plays board games, collects stamps, and spends time with her Jack Russell terrier. She appreciates the stories people carry, whether through relationships, movement, animals, or even the history found in something as small as a stamp.
